Transport mileage & travel time: £0.65 per mile, covering fuel and mileage-related vehicle wear. Both time and mileage are measured from leaving our base, through collections, loading, travel, unloading and any agreed waiting, until the vehicle returns to base — including the return journey.
Transport booking terms: Hourly bookings have a 2-hour minimum. Half-day and full-day bookings cover up to 4 and 8 total hours respectively, including travel to and from base. Additional time is charged at the selected vehicle’s hourly rate.
Clearance & disposal: Every clearance is quoted individually. Your fixed quote includes loading, transport, travel and agreed recycling or disposal; transport hourly rates and mileage are not added on top. Volume, weight, access and sorting determine the final price. Mattresses, fridges, upholstered seating, heavy materials or specialist waste may increase the quote; send details so acceptance and any charges can be confirmed before booking. Larger or heavily filled properties are quoted after assessment.
International journeys: Quoted individually using the planned route, total time and return mileage. Ferry or tunnel crossings, tolls, any overnight costs and customs-related services or charges will be identified in the quote where applicable.
Your final quote: Parking, tolls and any specialist handling are agreed in advance. Clearance disposal costs are included for the items listed in your accepted quote. Any applicable VAT will be shown in the total before booking. The scope of work and all agreed charges will be set out in your quote. Transport quotes also show estimated total time and return mileage.
How your price is worked out
For transport: vehicle rate × total booking hours, plus £0.65 × total miles and any agreed charges. For example, a Transit booking lasting 4 hours from base to base with 40 total miles is £260 + £26 = £286, before any separately agreed extras or applicable VAT.
We assign the crew to suit each job; the advertised vehicle rate stays the same regardless of our standard crew allocation. Our rates include vehicle availability and an allowance for insurance and operating overheads. Transport mileage is added separately, so the route is reflected in your quote. Clearances use a separate inclusive quote based on the agreed contents and disposal requirements.
